Clipper expected to bring light snow to the area Saturday

PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - A clipper is expected to bring light snow across the region Saturday.

The snow will move in early Saturday morning. According to FOX 29's Scott Williams, a wide swath of 1-2" of powdery snow is expected. Highs will be in the mid to upper 20s. The snow will stick instantly and create slippery roads. Visibilities will be reduced. The snow showers will taper off by the early afternoon.

Wind chills will be in the single digits for the Eagles game and for New Year's Eve so layer up. Air temperatures on New Year's Eve will be 21 degrees at 1 p.m., 18 degrees at 6 p.m., 15 degrees at 9 p.m. and 13 degrees at midnight. On New Year's Day, wind chills will be below zero.
