Officials warn of dangerous cold, wind chills across Pennsylvania

Officials are warning of dangerously cold temperatures moving into Pennsylvania following a storm that brought as much as a foot of snow to parts of the commonwealth.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill warning beginning Sunday evening for many areas. A wind chill advisory has been issued for the Delaware Valley through Monday 1 p.m.

FOX 29 meteorologists say frigid temperatures with strong winds up into 35 mph or higher in some areas could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Very slippery road conditions are expected and widespread blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility.

The weather service's State College office said as much as a foot of snow was reported in Wellsboro in Tioga County and 10 1/2 inches in Brookland in Potter County.
