Police: Serial bank robbery suspect captured

PHILADELPHIA (FOX 29) - A man wanted by the FBI and local law enforcement for a series of bank robberies in the Philadelphia area has been captured, authorities announced Monday.

Michael Edmondson, 50, faces several charges in connection with the alleged robberies.

Surveillance video showed Edmondson as he handed a teller a threatening note, demanding money at a Wells Fargo bank in Trevose on Feb. 19.

Authorities say he also robbed a Wells Fargo in King of Prussia and is under investigation for another bank robbery in Philadelphia.
