CHELTENHAM, Pa. - Police in Montgomery County are issuing a warning after receiving multiple reports of an "aggressive" coyote in the area.

The Cheltenham Police Department said it's received multiple reports of the animal in Wyncote, near Curtis Park, Hopeland Road, Washington Lane and Rock Creek Drive.

Officials said they used drones to search the area for the coyote, but couldn't find it.

Police said the Pennsylvania Game Commission is sending officers to search the area.

What you can do:

Officers said anyone who sees the coyote shouldn't approach it, but call 911 immediately.

Police also recommended residents with small pets should keep them inside.
