A Delaware County couple says they found a man's gold wedding band at a Claymont, Delaware gas station. They turned to social media and FOX 29 for help.

It's all laughs at the Quinn household in Boothwyn, Delaware County, as Shanel and Arthur play with their daughters. But they can only imagine what's going on between a husband and wife--their one year anniversary was Tuesday--after hubby's gold wedding band disappeared.

"I would be devastated if I lost mine," Shanel said.

"Oh, I know he's going through it," Arthur said. "She's in his ear every day, like, 'where did you lose it at? Where were you at?' They're trying to backtrack."

It was the day after Christmas and the Quinns were filling up at a BP station at 3421 Philadelphia Pike in Claymont, Delaware, when Arthur looked down into a decorative planter next to the pump.

"And I see a gold ring, so I picked it up," he explained to FOX 29's Bruce Gordon. "My first thing is, I'd like to return this. Whoever lost this, I'd like to get it back to them."

The yellow gold ring is engraved "C.H.R. to A.N.G. 01-02-2016." Before reaching out to FOX 29, Shanel posted news of the "find" to Facebook. By Friday afternoon, her post had been shared more than 300 times.

The Quinns know the angst that a lost wedding ring can create. Arthur's ring was damaged at work a while back.

"So he had to take it off and get another one and I was so furious about the situation, Shanel said with a chuckle. "I just want him to always have his ring so everyone knows...he's taken!

The Quinns hope that between Facebook and FOX 29, the right person will hear about the found ring and reach out to be reunited.

"It's a crazy world out here," Shanel said, "But for something so small, and it means something to everyone, you know-- it's a wedding band. Do it's great how we come together just to try to find the owner."
