A dirt bike police chase and carjacking has left two injured in Delaware County.

At around 1:30 p.m. on 69 th Street in Upper Darby, in front of hundreds of children lined up for a show at the Tower Theatre, a motorcyclist hit a little girl and her grandmother.

Witnesses say out of nowhere, a man on a dirt bike being chased by police came flying down the center lane of the congested street, and struck the victims as they walked in the crosswalk.

The granddaughter was unconscious, and the grandmother conscious, but both were injured and transported to the hospital.

The suspect jumped off his dirt bike following the accident and allegedly tried to get into a car that was next in line in front of him. The driver sped away as the suspect was hanging onto the side of the car.

Police say the motorcyclist carjacked the driver in front of him at knifepoint while the car was moving.

This is an ongoing investigation. More details to follow as they become available.
