OLNEY (WTXF) - Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting in Olney.
The incident occurred just before 6:00 p.m. on the 400 block of Linley Avenue.
Officers were controlling the area and spotted a vehicle that was parked illegally at the corner. It was occupied by three men.
Police made a U-turn to investigate the vehicle and conducted a car stop.
As they approached the car, a man exited from the rear driver's side and began to flee on foot. An officer noticed something in his hand and a chase ensued.
The man had a gun in his hand and the officer fired. The officer then pushed him, and the man stumbled into a car.
As the man started to gather himself, he turned around with a gun in his hand and began to run toward the officer's partner. The officer fired, striking the man once.
He was taken to Einstein in critical, but stable condition.
