Police: Man sought for multiple assaults, attempted rape in South Philadelphia

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Police are asking for the public's help locating a man wanted in connection with multiple assaults in South Philadelphia.

Officials detail two instances in which the man attempted to assault different women. The victims were able to either fight him off or leave the scene without incident.

In a third incident, police say the man indecently assaulted a woman. In a fourth incident, police say the man attempted to rape a woman.

Investigators say three of the incidents happened during the last two weeks of December in South Philadelphia, while the fourth happened on Jan. 5.

Police describe the suspect as about 5-foot-7 or 5-foot-8 with a medium build. He is approximately 30 years old. In two of the incidences, the man was reportedly riding a bicycle while approaching his victims.
