Suspect arrested after allegedly killing father, shooting mother

A Delaware County man has been taken into custody after authorities say he shot both of his parents inside their home, killing his father.

Police responded to a reported shooting on the 400 block of Iroquois Street in Tinicum Township around 8:45 p.m. Thursday night.

When officers arrived on the scene they found Henry Hox, 77, and Donna Hox, 62, suffering from gunshot wounds. Henry Hox later succumbed to his injuries, and Donna was taken to the hospital where she was cooperating with police.

The shooting suspect was identified as the couple's son 31-year-old Matthew Hox. Investigators say the shooting stemmed from an argument or disagreement that occurred.

A manhunt ensued as authorities search for Matthew Hox, who police say left the gun used in the shooting at the home. Matthew Hox was taken into custody early Friday morning, not far from the home.
