The ultimate Grand Slam! Marine returns home from deployment at baseball tourney

MENIFEE, CA (WTXF) - U.S. Marine Corps Master Sgt. Randy Brock really knows how to make an entrance!

After a six-month deployment to Japan, he gave his kids a grand slamming surprise.

The magical moment happened on May 12 when his son AJ was scheduled to pitch in a mock baseball scrimmage at Wheatfield Park in Menifee, California. According to the Daily Mail, Randy's wife Janet helped organize the surprise with the team coaches on the field.

Randy suited up in a baseball uniform including pads under his clothes, and a mask over his face so his son wouldn't recognize him.

The joke was on AJ as the dad started calling fouls on his son's throws during the game. Footage of the game shows AJ with a puzzled look as Randy leans over to brush the dust off the home plate.

Eventually, Randy walks to AJ and takes his mask off. The two embrace each other and his daughter runs to the field.
