Trash truck hits parked cars in South Philly

Police are investigating after a trash truck hit several parked cars in South Philadelphia overnight.

The incident took place around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday when the trash truck driver says he lost control of the vehicle.

Police were told the driver's steering column locked up, causing him to slam into multiple vehicles along Reed Street in Grays Ferry.

This is an ongoing investigation.
