BOSTON, Mass. - This is my fight song and I will keep fighting for my baby and all of the kids.
Alissa Silva, 35, tragically lost her son Mason to leukemia.
Mason was almost a year old, and had lived with cancer since he was six-months-old.
After her losing her son to the debilitating disease, Silva wanted to do something empowering, to show others how cancer in children affects families.
The video shows Silva holding up cards, explaining Mason's struggle, and the struggle of other children battling cancer.
Silva goes on to say that she believes research for children's cancer is underfunded in the United States.
"I promised Mason that I would bring as much awareness to this as I could," she wrote on one of the note cards in the video. "This is 'My Fight Song' and I will continue to fight until our kids get the funding they deserve."
The video is now going viral on Facebook, and has been shared over a million times.
