KINGSESSING (FOX 29) - Philadelphia police are investigating a shooting that left a man dead in Kingsessing Thursday morning.
The shooting occurred around 1:45 a.m. on the 5600 block of Chester Avenue.
Officers responded to the sound of gunshots in the area and found the victim laying on the sidewalk with more than a half dozen shell casings near the victim.
The victim was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
A witness says they saw two men running from the scene.
No arrests have been made at this time. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police.
