School District of Philadelphia will invest over $1M to improve student safety, Watlington says
Superintendent Tony Watlington said he would invest $1.3 million dollars to strengthen school safety. He said $750,000 would be used to expand the 8-school safe path program to 12 schools over two years, and $600,000 in grant money will be used to strengthen safety around city schools. Safe path is designed to allow students to move to and from school safely.
