A lightning strike on Friday night sparked a destructive roof fire at the Fellowship Alliance Chapel in Medford, New Jersey, causing extensive water, smoke and soot damage to the main worship center. Undeterred by the disaster, hundreds of parishioners gathered for Sunday service in the church's older sanctuary next door while restoration crews begin a cleanup process expected to take about a year.
