Philadelphia Halloween forecast: Chilly trick-or-treating temperatures and light winds
Costumes may need an extra layer this Halloween across the Philadelphia region as seasonably cool autumn air settles in for the weekend. Following a mild stretch earlier in the week, daytime highs will peak in the low 60s under light winds, making for ideal conditions to keep outdoor Halloween inflatables secure. For trick-or-treaters heading out after sunset at 5:59 p.m., temperatures will drop steadily through the 50s and into the 40s. Overnight, thermometers will dip into the 30s across interior areas, bringing a chance of patchy morning frost to communities north and west of the city and parts of the South Jersey Pine Barrens. Don't forget to turn clocks back one hour before bed as daylight saving time comes to an end.
