Pi Day race in Philadelphia supports Black Girls Love Math students
A Pi Day race along Boathouse Row is helping support students through Black Girls Love Math, a nonprofit focused on getting more Black girls involved in STEM. The 3.14-mile race raises money for high school and college tuition while also spotlighting the organization’s work with students from kindergarten through 12th grade in Philadelphia and Brooklyn. FOX 29’s Morgan Parrish takes us to the event, where runners, students and supporters are celebrating math, community and opportunity on 3/14.
