Juneteenth celebration draws thousands to West Philadelphia parade and festival
West Philadelphia marked Juneteenth with a large parade and festival centered at Malcolm X Park, where thousands gathered to celebrate freedom, history and community. The event, which has grown into one of the nation’s largest Juneteenth celebrations, featured vendors, performances and family activities honoring the end of slavery in the United States.
