Weather Authority: Pleasant Thursday leads into Friday rain

The Philadelphia area's dry streak will continue Thursday, but will not last into Friday with heavy rain in the forecast.

Thursday will be dry, sunny, and mild with a high of 63 degrees after we nearly hit 70 degrees on Wednesday.

Friday we'll see a drop in temperatures as a system brings plenty of moisture to the area.

Parts of our area could see an inch of rain Friday, while some areas down the shore could see as many as three inches. Rain is expected to start falling early Friday morning.

Things will be warming back up as we get back into the weekend, with Saturday and Sunday expected to approach highs of 70 degrees.
