Eagles Super Bowl: Eagles-themed nails in high demand ahead of big game

You have your Eagles gear, your jersey, your cap, but what about your Super Bowl mani?

One Center City nail tech has been swamped with appointments to dress up nails with intricate Eagles-themed designs, just in time for the Super Bowl.

What we know:

It’s all Eagles all the time! People want everything Eagles, even down to their nail designs. One local nail tech says she’s done 10 already and has 10 more scheduled.

Fans want everything from players’ faces, players’ numbers or just the Eagles colors with a little sparkle. Candice Nguyen says she’s up for the challenge and is a huge Eagles fan. She wants her work to represent them well.

What they're saying:

"I’ve done about 10 set of Eagles nails now and I probably have maybe 10 more coming this weekend. But I have a lot of DMs I haven’t even been able to open yet," said Candice Nguyen.

She’s a nail tech at her mom’s salon, Raw Lab Spa, in Center City. "Last week I was doing a lot of Eagles nails. I was booked and busy and it was crazy," said Nguyen.

Big picture view:

Tuesday night her customer had a masterpiece of an idea.

"I wanted to get the Saquon hurdle and my favorite player on the Eagles is Quinyon Mitchell. So he does this signature dance. He does it all the time, so she’s going to do his dance on my finger and whatever other designs she wants to do," said customer Rylie Perrine.

She wanted to go all out because she’s an ambassador for the Super Bowl and will be going to New Orleans Thursday morning.

"To work with the Super Bowl committee, so I wanted to rep my Eagles nails," said Perrine.

Candice says her love for the team shows in her work. She wants to represent them well.

"I feel like there’s a special kind of camaraderie on the team. Everybody is just like so excited and happy to be with each other," she said.

What's next:

As for the finished product?

"I like them. They’re so, like, detailed," said Rylie about her nails.
