Man accused of exposing himself in Allentown Dollar General

A man is accused of exposing himself at a Dollar General in Allentown, Pa.

"I'm always coming here and nothing really happens. Wow," said Ada Martinez before going into Dollar General. Something happened inside the store on Union Boulevard that has a lot of people worried.

"It's disturbing but thank God I always come with someone," said Martinez.

Police say Monday they were called about a man exposing himself to customers and staff.

They say the man was making vulgar comments and then inappropriately touched a woman customer. A worker inside the store told me off camera that one of the victim's screamed.

Police say that's when the man took off and left the store. It's not surprising to Robert Negron.

"Now-a-days the stuff that's going on in this world," he said. But it does concern him and his friend who were shopping at the store this evening.

"I come here with my daughter all the time and my kids so I wouldn't want some guy flashing private parts. That's sad," said Negron. Police say one of the victim's family members were waiting for her in the car. Police say she told them what happened and they chased down the suspect a block away at Union and Tacoma. They held him until police got there.

"It's sad. It could have been kids. If it would have been my daughter it would have been a problem," says Angel Rosa Rodriguez who says he would have done the same thing.

"I would have chased him down. Why not? It probably would have been a little bit worse. I probably would have put my hands on him maybe," he said.

Police say the suspect is Sergio Rodriguez. He's charged with indecent exposure and other charges. He remains in jail tonight unable to post bail.
