KENSINGTON (WTXF) - Police in North Philadelphia are searching for the man they say stabbed a woman when he tried to rob her overnight in Kensington.
Officers were called to Huntingdon SEPTA station just after 2 a.m. Saturday morning.
Police say the victim, a 30-year-old woman, got into the elevator at the station when a man allegedly followed her inside and then demanded money.
He reportedly rifled through her pockets and stabbed her in the shoulder and the leg with a kitchen knife.
The woman is in stable condition.
The suspect is described as 5'8" and in his late 30s.
