PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Philadelphia Police have confirmed that a man captured on surveillance tape following the alleged rape and robbery of a female Temple Student has been arrested. Authorities say he was arrested on unrelated charges.
According to police, a female Temple student was robbed and sexually assaulted near the campus on the 1400 block North Carlisle Street around 11:15 p.m. on September 28 .

Police say the 20-year-old female was walking alone when she was jumped from behind. Police say she was struck in the arm with a small silver handgun, pushed against a wall and sexually assaulted. The attacker ran off northbound on Carlisle. Police hope surveillance cameras caught a glimpse of the suspect.
Last week, police released photos of the man that were captured by SEPTA surveillance cameras as the suspect rode on a subway.
Police say the unidentified suspect has not been charged in the September 28 incident.
He remains in police custody. Authorities have not yet specified the unrelated charges.
