Calling all Grand Theft Auto fans.
Rockstar Games have opened the window to preorder your copy of the highly-anticipated (and long-awaited) Grand Theft Auto VI.
What we know:
GTA fans can now begin preordering the game from Rockstar's website and global retailers.
The newest game will follow protagonists Jason and Lucia as they navigate through the fictional U.S. state of Leonida (which is inspired by Florida).
Just like in games past, players will get a chance to enjoy fast cars and other video game shenanigans while exploring Vice City (inspired by Miami).
By the numbers:
The pre-order window also reveals the price for two versions of the digital game, starting at $79.99 for standard and $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition.
The backstory:
The first Grand Theft Auto hit store shelves back in 1997.
Its soaring popularity led to multiple sequels over the years — with much anticipation (and sometimes long waits) between each installment.
Grand Theft Auto VI will arrive more than a decade after Grand Theft Auto V's 2013 release.
The sixth installment will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X'S systems, Rockstar games said.
