SEPTA transit police strike ends after reaching tentative contract agreement

Officials say SEPTA and transit police officers have reached a tentative contract agreement, ending the six-day strike.

Officers are expected to begin returning to duty for the shift that begins at 11 p.m. Tuesday.

Details on the terms of the tentative contract will be announced at a later date after the FOTP has the opportunity to discuss the agreement with its members.

SEPTA said they look forward to having its police officers back on duty to serve riders throughout the system.
