PACKER PARK (WTXF) - The Philadelphia Water Department is actively working to restore service to three commercial properties in Packer Park due to a water main break on Tuesday afternoon.
Due to severe undermining of the roadway in two separate locations, however, the three outer lands of Broad Street going southbound between the 3200 and 3300 blocks of Broad Street are closed until further notice.
The area will be secured when crews leave for the night. Crews will return tomorrow to perform a sewer inspection and full assessment of the amount of roadway that is necessary to replace.
