WEST CHESTER, Pa. (WTXF) - Police in West Chester are continuing to search for suspects in an assault that left a victim in critical condition.
A man who was previously considered a person of interest has since been cleared in the incident after speaking with police.
At 3 a.m. Sunday, emergency crews responded to a call for an unconscious person on E. Gay Street.
The victim is still being treated at a trauma center and is listed in critical condition after more than 48 hours.
Police previously released video of a man inside a nearby store, stating that one of the subjects in the video was considered a person of interest. Police now say that man was only a witness to the incident, and were not involved in the assault.
