2 teens charged after driving stolen car recklessly in Delaware mall parking lot: police

Two teenagers were arrested and another is being sought after police in Delaware busted the trio for recklessly driving a stolen car in a mall parking lot.

Delaware State Police responded to Christiana Mall just before 8 p.m. last Friday for reports of three teenagers driving a stolen Honda Accord in the parking lot.

Investigators say the teens fled the vehicle when they were approached by mall security. The stolen vehicle had damage to a tire and its steering column, rendering it disabled.

Troopers were able to arrest two teens, ages 14 and 16, who investigators say wore ski masks and dark clothes during the careless joyride. The third suspect still remains at large.

Both teens were charged with numerous crimes, including receiving stolen property and possession of marijuana under 18.
