Car slams into Philadelphia home after being involved in crash: police

One person was injured after a car involved in a crash rammed into a Philadelphia home on Thursday morning.

Police are searching for a driver who they say crashed into a Philadelphia home after running through a stop sign and colliding with a passing car.

What we know:

Investigators say the crash happened around 3:30 a.m. at the intersection of Oxford Avenue, Horrocks Street and Kenwyn Street in Frankford.

A Toyota driving west on Oxford Street was struck by a speeding Honda that blew through a stop sign at the three-way intersection.

The crash caused the Honda to crash into a home on the 1100 block of Kenwyn Street, according to police.

The driver of the Honda, who police describe as a Black man wearing a white shirt, ran from the scene of the crash.

The 31-year-old driver of the Toyota was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center and placed in critical condition.

What we don't know:

The crash left a massive hole in the side of the home and a large debris field. 

The safety of the home is being evaluated by License and Inspections.
