WILMINGTON - Officials are trying to identify a human skull and other remains found last month near a creek in a wooded area in Delaware.
What we know:
Officers from the New Castle Division of Police were dispatched to Ravine Road on March 29 for reports of a possible human skull found along a creek in a wooded area.
Investigators say the skull showed "signs of prolonged environmental exposure." During a sweep of the area, police found another bone, according to authorities.
What's next:
Both the skull and bone were turned over to the Delaware Division of Forensic Science for further testing and analysis.
