Local towns in running for USA Today's best small town cultural scene

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. (FOX 29) - Doylestown is topping the list at the moment for the best small town cultural scene in America. The borough leads the pack in a USA Today poll that's still underway.

Doylestown boasts several museums, including the Mercer Museum built by archaeologist Henry Mercer, who died nearly 90 years ago. It's home to 50,000 artifacts that date back to America's pre-industrial age.

The borough also is home to a castle and an art museum that was formerly a prison. There is also plenty of pop culture in Doylestown, including a Game of Thrones party that's underway for the next six weeks

Media, Delaware County and Manayunk are also in the running.
