Violent weekend in Philadelphia leaves 2 dead, 2 more injured overnight
PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia police are investigating a string of violent incidents that occurred between late Saturday night and early Sunday morning, resulting in two deaths and two injuries across the city.

The violence began when officers responded to reports of a shooting at the intersection of Wakeling and Jackson streets around 11:30 p.m. Saturday.
A 64-year-old man was found unresponsive on the highway with a gunshot wound to the face. Medics pronounced the victim dead at the scene. A 39-year-old man who was present at the scene was taken into custody for questioning by the Homicide Unit. Police recovered two handguns at the scene, and charges are currently pending.
Early Sunday morning, a second fatal shooting occurred in the Kensington neighborhood on the 3200 block of Kensington Avenue at 5:18 a.m. Officers discovered a 35-year-old man unresponsive, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his back, chest, and right leg. He was pronounced dead at the hospital. No arrests have been made.

In a non-fatal incident in South Philadelphia, an altercation over an electric bicycle crash left two men injured early Sunday.
At 2:47 a.m., officers responded to the 1200 block of Mifflin Street and found a 29-year-old man with head abrasions. He declined immediate treatment but later sought care at a hospital, where he is in stable condition.
At 4:33 a.m., police located a 33-year-old man near the 2000 block of Chestnut Street with a gunshot wound to his left hip. He was transported to Jefferson Hospital in stable condition.
Police say the 33-year-old crashed an e-bike, sparking a dispute over potential vehicle damage. The argument escalated into a physical fight, leading to head injuries and the shooting.
