One man is dead after crash in Southwest Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - One person is dead after a car accident in the early morning hours of April 21 in Southwest Philadelphia.

Police responded to the scene at Cobbs Creek Parkway and the 5900 block of Florence Street about 3:30 a.m. Saturday.

Upon arrival, police say they found the 54-year-old male driver had crashed the vehicle into a traffic pole.

The victim was transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center where he died.

The cause of the accident has not been determined.
