FRANCONIA TWP., Pa. - The pilot of a small "self propelled" plane was able to walk away without serious injuries after the aircraft crashed into a field Wednesday night in Montgomer County.
What we know:
Investigators say the pilot was the only one aboard the small plane when it went down in a field off Cowpath Road in Franconia Township around 5:30 p.m.
First responders told FOX 29 News the pilot was able to climb out of the plane after the crash and was found in a nearby ravine.
The pilot was treated at the scene for minor injuries, including bumps and bruises, and taken to a local hospital for further evaluation.
No one else was involved in the crash.
