Police: Jogger attacked on Delaware trail

Police in Newark, Delaware, are looking for a suspect who attacked a woman on the James F. Hall Trail.

Police say a 23-year-old female jogger was knocked unconscious by a man wearing a ski mask and gloves. According to police, the victim, a University of Delaware graduate student, was found around 8:45 p.m. Monday by passersby, only an hour after the sunset. Daytime joggers, bikers and walkers along the trail were stunned when they heard the news.

Police say nothing was taken from the woman and there isn't an obvious motive. Police are urging people to be extra careful of their surroundings

The woman was treated at Christiana Hospital for bruises. The suspect was described as a large man of unknown race who was wearing a ski mask and gloves.
