Police: Woman struck by vehicle, assaulted by shovel in Logan

Police are investigating a woman's brutal death in Logan.

The incident occurred in a lot on the 700 block of W. Loudon Street just before 8 p.m. Sunday.

Police say a female in her 30s was hit with a vehicle and assaulted with a shovel. She was taken to Einstein by medics and pronounced at 9:38 p.m.

Eyewitnesses were stunned by the incident. According to witnesses, the driver calmly walked away from the scene until he was arrested.

No charges have been filed at this time. It's unclear the relationship between the woman and the alleged driver. Police have not released identities in this case.
