Suspect robs Germantown store at gunpoint for second time

Surveillance footage captured the moment a robbery suspect held up a store in Germantown, and police say he hit the same store just last month.

Surveillance footage captured the moment a robbery suspect held up a store in Germantown, and police say he hit the same store just last month.

What we know:

Philadelphia police say a male suspect robbed a Cricket cell phone store on the 200 block of Chelten Avenue around 12:26 p.m. on January 12.

He was caught on camera parking in the back of the store moments before walking into the store and pulling out a gun.

He robbed the store, then fled in the same vehicle, according to police.

The suspect is also accused of robbing the same store on December 4, 2024.

What we don't know:

Police have not released any details about what was stolen during either robbery, or if any was injured.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police. The suspected vehicle is described as being a black/gray Nissan SUV with damage to the back passenger wheel well.
