Violent weekend in Philly leaves 4 dead, others injured

PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Police in Philadelphia say two men were shot to death, a third was found dead with a gunshot wound and gunfire around the city also injured others.

A 22-year-old man was found on a West Philadelphia street on Saturday night with a gunshot wound to the face and multiple gunshot wounds to the torso. Another 22-year-old man was found with multiple gunshot wounds shortly after midnight Saturday in Southwest Philadelphia. Both victims died.

Another man who appeared to be in his 30s and had what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the right upper thigh was found in a vacant lot in North Philadelphia and pronounced dead at the scene.

Other shootings, including one in a West Philadelphia barber shop and a triple shooting Sunday afternoon in Southwest Philadelphia, sent five other people to the hospital. At least one of those victims has died.
