PHILADELPHIA (FOX 29) - The Philadelphia area is slated for a bitter cold week, with temperatures in the low 30s on Tuesday.

Temperatures will dip further on Wednesday, with a high of only 27 degrees.

Precipitation returns to the forecast by late Friday with a mix of rain and snow showers.
