BENSALEM, Pa. (FOX 29) - Two people are in critical condition after a tanker truck full of gasoline overturned and caught fire on an I-95 exit ramp Thursday morning.
The crash occurred on the I-95 northbound exit ramp to Woodhaven Road around 10:30 a.m.
Bensalem police say the tanker was carrying 3000 gallons of gasoline when it overturned on the ramp and burst into flames.
Two men inside the truck, the driver and a passenger, suffered severe burns and were taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Firefighters were able to get the flames under control in about an hour despite a shortage of water in the area of the crash.
Both sides of the ramp were closed as firefighters worked to extinguish the flames and clean up the wreckage. PennDOT says the northbound Woodhaven ramp will remain closed until Friday night.
