Boston Marathon bombing victim posts inspirational message about Halloween costume

(WTXF) - A woman who lost one of her legs due to injuries she got during the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings made an inspirational choice of Halloween costume this year when she dressed up as a popular movie character.

Rebekah Gregory posted a photo of herself to Facebook dressed at Lt. Dan from the 1994 film Forrest Gump.

I think Forrest always did say it best..."life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get."So what you get...you go with. ;)Happy Halloween everyone!!!󾍇

Lt. Dan lost both of his legs during the Vietnam War in the film.

Her caption alongside the photo said, "I think Forrest always did say it best…'life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get.' So what you get…you go with."

Also pictured is Gregory's friend who dressed as Forrest Gump with a baseball cap and pin pong paddle in hand.
