Deadly accident shuts down major road in Berlin

The White Horse Pike in Berlin was shut down in both directions as police investigated a deadly accident Monday morning.

A young man was riding his bike on a major road in South Jersey when he was struck and killed Monday morning.

Police say 27-year-old Nicholar Krier was riding his bike on South Franklin Avenue when he tried to cross over the White Horse Pike in Berlin.

He was hit by a car driven by a 47-year-old woman, according to authorities.

The bicyclist was pronounced dead a short time later.

SKYFOX was live over the scene where a bicycle could be seen on the sidewalk.

Debris was also still in the roadway, along with another vehicle with major damage to its windshield.

A witness told police that the striking vehicle had a green light. An investigation is underway.

The deadly crash shut down parts of White Horse Pike for several hours.
