Man Accused of Killing Aunt, Stealing Car in Falls Township

LEVITTOWN, PA (WTXF)- Police in Falls Township are investigating a homicide at an apartment complex in Levittown.

Jeffrey Stafford, 39, was arrested and charged with murdering his aunt at the Pennsbury Woods Apartment Complex on the 9100 block of New Falls Road.

Police were tipped off that Stafford may have killed someone after he was seen driving his aunts vehicle Wednesday, which he was not usually allowed to do.

Police say Stafford told a friend that he may have given his aunt, Alisa Wilson, too many sleeping pills Thursday, before leaving in her car.

Officers responded to the aunts apartment late Thursday evening where they discovered the victim.

A short time later, Stafford was spotted driving his aunts 2009 Chrysler 300 in the Vermillion Hills section of Levittown.

Officers stopped Stafford and took him into custody.

Investigators found Stafford to be in possession of two of the victim's purses containing jewelry and money. He was also found to be in possession of 14 packages suspected to contain narcotics.

Stafford has been charged with criminal homicide, possession of a controlled substance, criminal trespassing, burglary, and other related charges.

He was taken to Bucks County prison with no bail.
