PHILADELPHIA - A Warminster man was returned to Bucks County this week, months after U.S. Marshals arrested him in El Salvador on charges of assaulting multiple young girls.
What we know:
Noel Yanes was arrested in El Salvador in January. Marshals extradited Yanes back to Pennsylvania Wednesday night, Dec. 10, U.S. Marshals announced in a social media post.
Yanes was charged with allegedly sexually assaulting three young girls in February 2024. Officials said that shortly after the charges were filed, Yanes fled to El Salvador.
Yanes arrived back in the U.S. this week and was arraigned on Thursday on more than 40 charges, including rape of a child, unlawful contact with a minor, indecent assault and more.

No additional information about the allegations against Yanes has been shared by investigators.

"The capture and return of Noel Angel Yanes is a testament to the relentless pursuit of justice by all agencies involved," Bucks County DA Jennifer Schorn said. "To those who commit crimes against the most vulnerable and believe they can evade accountability by fleeing across borders, this should serve as a clear message: you will be found, apprehended and brought back to face the consequences of your actions.
What's next:
At his arraignment on Thursday, a judge ordered Yanes be held on $500,000 bond. It is not clear when Yanes will be back in court.
