Mother Seeks Answers in Bensalem Hit-and-Run

BENSALEM, Pa. (WTXF) - A young man is in the hospital with his jaw wired shut and bones broken all over his body after being injured in a hit-and-run in Bensalem.

The accident happened two weeks ago and police are no closer to figuring out who the driver is.

FOX 29 Weekend Anchor Karen Hepp spoke with the victim's mother.

The victim, Robert Scott, is upstairs just moved from ICU to a special level, according to his mother.

This is going to be a long recovery; we're talking months and years. His life will never be the same. His whole family is devastated and wants the person who did this to come forward.

Scott, 22, is bloodied and bandaged strapped to a hospital bed with his jaw wired shut. He doesn't remember much about what happened. All investigators know is firefighters found his broken and twisted body lying on Brown Ave in Bensalem shortly after midnight on August 24th, more than 2 weeks ago.

"Robbie" had just graduated Pennco Tech in Bristol, Pa. His family had hoped to move to Florida and now all hopes and dreams of a new life are on hold spending every minute by Robbie's bedside praying.

They hope to catch the person by offering a $1,000 reward.
