Police: 81-year-old shot inside Willingboro home

WILLINGBORO, N.J. (FOX 29) - Police are investigating after an 81-year-old man was shot while he was inside his home in Willingboro, New Jersey.

Police say when officers arrived, they found a house struck several times by bullets in the Rittenhouse Park section. Inside the home at the time was an 81-year-old man who suffered a gunshot to his leg.

Police tell FOX 29 the victim was taken to Lourdes Hospital for treatment. In the meantime, detectives on scene found a car that was also hit by gunfire.

Investigators have not said who was firing at who or what the motive was but a usually quiet street is now worried about the unknown.
