Police search for man who exposed himself in Hockessin, Del. Wawa

Police in Delaware are hoping to get a flasher off the streets. Investigators say the man exposed himself to a worker and a customer at a convenience store.

"It was one of those things. I read it this morning, I was like 'Wow!' This is a great way to start the day," said Erin Pugarelli.

Pugarelli was taken aback when she learned of the man who allegedly exposed himself to a worker inside the Wawa on Yorklyn Road in Hockessin, Delaware.

"I was pretty shocked, actually. It's not something that you would expect to happen, really anywhere, I want to say," Pugarelli explained.

"We did see a lot of cop cars coming out earlier. I mean, people were definitely freaked out by what was going on," stated Christine Shields.

Investigators say Saturday night, just before 11, the man stood in line as if he was buying something and was speaking loudly to himself.

Police say the man eventually followed a woman around the store and exposed himself to get her to notice him.

"It's just so sad what our society us today," Shields added.

"Some people just need a little bit more help, is a nice way to put it," Pugarelli said.

Delaware State Police say a worker called for help as the man ran out of the Wawa, before jumping into a black or blue four-door car and drove off.

Customers want him off the streets fast.

"I hope they catch him, cause it seems to happen a lot," Pugarelli added.
