Slick start to Sunday reminds all of winter's reality
CAMDEN COUNTY, N.J. (WTXF) - It was a snowy start to the morning across the Delaware Valley.
While crews spent the morning working hard to clear the roads, some braved the elements to hit the stores and, of course, get ready for the Eagles game.
More than 300 hundred plows and salt trucks were hard at work across southern and central Jersey, working overnight to daylight.
Other plows were working to clear parking lots.
"There are some slick spots out there," said Sean, on his way home, after working overnight.
Others were starting their day by braving the elements, heading to Wegmans in Cherry Hill to stock up for the week. Ann Marie Eife was making the trip from Haddon Township and said the major roads seemed to just be wet by mid-morning. But, on the secondary roads, she still took it slow.
"When I looked out the window, I was like, 'Oh my gosh!' I thought it was going to be more covered, but the side streets are definitely a little slippery," Eife said.
Of course, one of the main reasons people braved the elements was to get some snacks and some groceries for the Eagles game.
