Suspect arrested for New Port Richey man's murder in 2001
NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. (FOX 13) - Police have arrested a man for the murder of a New Port Richey man back in 2001.
Police say 41-year-old Simon Clark was murdered in his home on Sanctuary Drive on November 28, 2001.
Randy Petersilge, 51, was a possible suspect at the time, but no arrests were made.
New Port Richey police detectives reopened the case in 2017 and after conducting interviews and investigating, a Grand Jury indicted Petersilge on first-degree murder charges.
Petersilge was in a federal prison at the time, but when he was released April 5, Petersilge was arrested for first-degree murder.
Petersilge is being taken to the Pasco County Jail.
