Judayah Murray

Judayah Murray is an Emmy-nominated TV host, digital journalist and the always-smiling face of FOX 29 PHILADELPHIA LIVE. This isn't your typical news show! Judayah drops the traditional broadcast sound to keep it real, bringing viewers all the information they need regarding live, breaking, and trending news across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware, alongside major national and international updates.

Before making the move to Philadelphia in March 2026, Judayah spent four years at FOX 29's sister station, FOX 5 Atlanta, where she served as a digital content creator, streaming producer and host. During her time in the Peach State, she covered everything from the 2024 presidential campaigns to local breaking news.

A native New Yorker, Judayah has more than a decade of experience as a digital content creator. Her career kicked off in 2014 when she launched #BlackGirlsYouTubeToo, a sponsored YouTube channel encouraging high school students to pursue higher education at historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs). While building her brand, she graduated Magna Cum Laude from Howard University's Annenberg Honors Program with a bachelor's degree in media, journalism and film communications, and a minor in graphic design.

She went on to earn her master's degree in journalism from Columbia University.

The day after graduating from Columbia, Judayah joined News 12 Networks in New York City, where she quickly became the face of positive news across the New York Tristate as the creator, host and producer of "On A Positive Note." The show was all about finding unsung heroes and sharing uplifting hyperlocal stories from New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Her compassionate storytelling during the COVID-19 pandemic earned her nominations for a Host Craft Achievement NY Emmy Award and an NABJ Salute to Excellence Award.

In 2022, she took her talents from the Big Apple to the Giant Peach, joining the FOX 5 Atlanta digital team. In this role, she contributed to a variety of online breaking news coverage like the 2023 downtown "Stop Cop City" riot, the Midtown Northside Hospital shooting, and the streaming coverage of both the Trump-Vance and Harris-Walz 2024 presidential campaigns.

Judayah's mixed media experience goes beyond being in front of the camera and writing news articles. In 2017, she produced and co-hosted the radio show "Battle of The Sexes" for WHBC-96.3 HD-3 at Howard University. In 2016, she interviewed guests on the street for WHUR’s "Pillow Talk with Angela" based in Washington D.C. Over the years, she has worked professionally as a portrait and event photographer and is also trained in graphic design, video editing, copyediting, simple animation, UI design and social media marketing.

When she’s not trying to find ways to amplify underrepresented voices, Judayah enjoys exploring her new home in Philadelphia, discovering new music and spending time with her niece and nephews. She's also chronically online, so give her a follow on TikTok, Instagram, Threads or Facebook @JudayahMurray to stay up to date on the next big thing near you. Catch her on PHILADELPHIA LIVE, weeknights from 7 to 10 p.m. ET on the free FOX LOCAL app for your mobile device, Roku, Amazon FireTV, Apple TV, Google Android TV and Vizio.

And don't forget, all of Judayah's news is good news
